Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area
We know that the right program at the right time significantly shapes a child’s life and future.

- Learn and expand physical and mental abilities;
- Adopt a physically active lifestyle;
- Adopt healthy eating behaviors and healthy cooking skills;
- Develop new academic skills and improved literacy and language skills;
- Feel a stronger sense of belonging; and
- Develop increased confidence and improved social skills.
“Boys and Girls Club and Pathways programs have helped to develop me as a leader. The Police Athletic League has an important place in my heart. I love that it encourages physical activity and healthy eating. The staff at these organizations mean family to me. They continue to be my support systems. They are mentors to me.”

Helen Tufts Nursery School
As the pandemic continues to evolve, community needs continue to change. BGC South East and Big Brothers Big Sisters are pleased to welcome Helen Tufts Nursery School into Kingston’s Kids First. Serving Kingston for more than 45 years, Helen Tufts provides critical early learning childcare for children with special needs from low income families. The pandemic continues to place financial burdens upon these families, requiring additional community support. The new direction of Kingston’s Kids First keeps apace with our community’s changing needs, focusing on gathering increased support for younger children and the most vulnerable families.
